The Right Way to Consume Cannabis: Blunts and Beyond

There is no one right way to consume cannabis. The method that works best for you is the one that enhances your overall health and well-being in the most effective way.

As the legal market evolves, a wide variety of cannabis consumption options have become available. From edibles and sublingual drinks to concentrated compounds and topical products, each has its own unique use cases and benefits.

Personal Consumption Preferences

My personal preference lies with concentrates and raw flower, with a little bit of edibles tossed in for variety. While edibles are great for their discreet use, they often require a period of waiting for the effects to kick in, and this can be inconvenient in certain scenarios.

Smoked products like dabs and blunts offer a more immediate experience, allowing me to notice the effects right away and enjoy a smoother high. During the night, when I have the time to relax and appreciate the experience, I often choose flower and roll a blunt. The entire process of hand-rolling a Backwood can be quite therapeutic, with the added benefits of a relaxing high.

Daytime Usage

During the day, I opt for concentrates to maintain focus and enhance my productivity. Concentrates provide a clear-headed high that is less likely to interfere with daily activities, whereas a blunt or bong session might make me feel a bit groggy. By using different products, I can control my high in more precise and potent bursts.

Targeted Relief and Discretion

For treating skin issues or pain, topical products may offer better targeted relief than inhaled or ingested cannabis products. When there is a fire ban, edibles and vape cartridges are ideal options due to their discreet and non-combustive nature.

The Right Amount

The appropriate amount of cannabis to consume daily varies from person to person and is influenced by individual endocannabinoid systems. Some individuals can tolerate and benefit from higher doses, while others may find they are sensitive even to micro-doses.

When it comes to blunts, it's important to remember that they also contain tobacco in small amounts. Unless it's an event or a special occasion, 2-3 blunts per day is a reasonable limit for me. On some days, I might only smoke dabs, while on other days, I might roll an ounce with blunts and enjoy a post-smoke hot tub session. The key is to be mindful of how your consumption patterns impact your lifestyle and adjust as necessary.

Experimenting with new products and methods of consumption can be helpful in finding the perfect match for your needs. Don’t hesitate to try something new if you’re still searching for that ideal solution.
